More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I did volunteer work in elementary schools in high school , and received my early childhood education seal. I worked at an academy and worked with autistic kids as well as babies and 1-3 year old children. At the age of 16 I use to baby sit middle schoolers and elementary schoolers, I would have 2-3 kids at most and maintain serving food, cleaning, helping with homework, outside play, and just making sure they got to bed on time. I also would have 5-6 babies while working at the academy at times because at times we were so short staffed, but it was okay because I honestly adored watching them and teaching them. I have many years of working with kids of all ages. It is honestly a huge passion of mine to work with children and I believe that’s why I was put here in earth to help with kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When choosing activities for babies I make sure it is always in there age ranging, and try to help them engage as much as possible. So I love doing sensory activity for babies using many colors, sounds, and just helping them with voice control and talking. With toddlers everything hands on and just being active, crazy, and having a good time . With preteens lots of exploring and learning new things, more so things there interested in. And lots of indoor activities like hide and seek, floor games, arts and crafts, and etc. and outside games such as tug of war, swings, slides , running , tag, just everything they can think of as well as me. I enjoy being active and bringing out my inner kid hahaha.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is making sure every kid meets there milestones. Every kid should be constantly learning and engaging in hands on activities . All kids deserve a listening ear , a helping hand, and just to be treated as kids. They deserve the best of the best and nothing less. And that is exactly what I want to give to every kid.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with special needs kids for a year at an academy, and worked with two little girls, who were by far the smartest kids I had ever met in my life. I helped one learn their numbers. And I helped the other get comfortable around other kids. Definitely not an easy job but it helped me learn so much and it definitely takes patience and a loving heart. Because I have experienced the tantrums and just understood how misunderstood they really are. Working with them had been the most rewarding experience for me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The best memory was when my autistic student had sad her numbers , kind of brought tears to my eyes, simply because she had never talked. And I was able to get it on camera and show the mother. She was so so excited and just filled with so much joy :)
