I was an au pair for the last 1,9 years. Where I looked after kids from 4 month olds to 12 year olds. I also had an internship at a pre school for several weeks. My mom also had another child and I helped to look after her since she was born and even when my mom went on vacation I looked after my little sister for 5 days at a time.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to get creative with kids so definitely arts and crafts. Reading books is also super fun and of course going to the park, Zoo or museums are also very fun with kids. Drawing or painting and dancing are also things I did with my host kids in the past.

The most important thing about being a nanny is building a trusting, supportive relationship with the child and their family. Become a positive influence in the children’s life and truly care about the kids, making them feel comfortable with you and get them excited for the next time they can hang out with you.

When my au pair year was almost done my host kid (21 month old) finally said my name, I was so so happy! Then I was also able to tech her a few German words and from what I heard she’s still saying them!
