I'm an active 60 year old professional nanny with 20+ years paid full-time experience. I have worked with various age groups of children. I also have experience working with children living with learning disabilities, down syndrome and autism spectrum. I'm patient, warm, loving, attentive, nurturing, trustworthy, honest, punctual, multi-task, organized and self starter. I'm not a social media person, I have a cell phone to call, text and email. I'm also an animal lover. I have taken care of several dogs for families I have worked for previously plus I have 2 dogs myself.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 20+ years working with various age groups of children. I've worked with infants through teenagers. I have worked with children living with Special Needs and Autism. My current family I have been with for 10 years. Their baby was 4 months old when I started working for them. I am looking for a new family to work for closer to my home. I have great references to provide.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, baking, cooking, science activities, exploring nature, hikes through the woods, going to the library, swimming. I like to engage in what the kids are doing and if I am unable to join then I cheer them on in their fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is the pure joy and satisfaction I have personally received over the years from the children I have cared for. Their smiling faces while enjoying an activity we are doing together, participating in sports they enjoy, or just talking together and catching up on their day. It is all important to me and I enjoy being present for them.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked from the ages of 16-22 at Wrentham Developmental Center. I was a service specialist and I had 4 consumers that I worked with going to the pool or out to activities. I also worked in the apartments as direct care staff caring for adolescents and adults with down syndrome and various other diagnosis. I also ran two group homes. Each home had 5 adults with physical disabilities and mental health disorders. As a nanny I have worked with children on the autism spectrum. Working with their ABAs and following the behavioral plans in place.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have had a lot of them over the years! When any of the children hits a milestone and being able to share that with their parents is very special. I truly enjoy hearing from my older charges on how they are doing in college and reminiscing about old times. I also enjoy looking through my art work that my charges over the years have created for me.
