The most important part about being a nanny...
I was babysitting a 5 year old little boy and he was riding his scooter down the sidewalk and then he fell off and scraped his knee and then he started crying so I ran over and gently helped him up and sat him down on the porch and then cleaned the scrape and put a bandaide on & I told him how brave he was for getting back up and he gave a small smile through his tears. That tiny smile meant everything! That moment reminded me how important it is to be a calm, loving presence in a child’s life.
