My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a one year old little boy back in 2021. A mom who worked from home with an Autistic son. I cared for in the home.
I assisted him in learning to walk at 2 yrs old and I was helping him with chewing skills. We walked daily through the neighborhood and visit the nearby parks. He loved the swings at the park and enjoyed the fruits I would bring for him to taste.

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a special needs kid I was helping with chewing skills helped himself.
I realized he was really catching on when I saw him devouring a peach I brought for lunch.
I took pictures to show his mom how much progress he was making.
