Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve done a lot of babysitting as it was one of my first jobs as a teen. I volunteered a lot for my younger brothers school which I would basically help in the class both teacher and students.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts. I love to paint I don’t mind a little mess as paint is very rarely something that stays “clean” the beauty and fun of art. Being outdoors and just connecting with nature is a such an amazing feeling and lots of kids enjoy playing outside vs inside
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’d say would be patience and care, love and sometimes a firm attitude. Its no secret that kids can be a bit much at times. Being able to be patient when they’re having their moments or being able to set that understanding of who’s in charge without going to an extreme are important. Having care for children who aren’t yours and being able to love and care for them as if they were is probably to me the most important.
My experience with special needs children...
Though I can’t say I have much experience working with special needs children, I have learned alot when it came to taking care of my younger cousin who has Special needs. Lots of attention and lots of patience.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was taking care of two children who aren’t kids anymore (so sad to see how much they grown) it was during the fall they wanted to play outside but couldn’t think of what to do luckily leaves were everywhere so not only did they help clean up my front yard but we did giant leaf piles and they played for hours. Afterwards I asked them to shower and of course they were hungry so we made spaghetti together and ate outside in a fresh breeze. We went for a walk and came back ended the night with some hot chocolate and scooby doo they fell asleep not even 1 episode in. It truly was a nice day with them. I have many favorite memories with each child I’ve gotten to take care of but this is just the first one that came to mind.
