A little bit about us

I’m looking for reliable, consistent care for my 6 month baby girl- I have had to change my “care needs” to reflect my head coaching job;
Summer season is starting this week and Days in need are:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
With care from 11-230 on Monday and Wednesday and 12-330 Friday.
For the months of June and July.
With need for occasional date night sitter (this care would then include my 2y.o son)
My husband gets off of work at around 2 o’clock. It takes him about 25 minutes to get home so you would be responsible for their care until he gets home.
I was also looking for somebody who could occasionally care for the kids so me and my husband could find hobbies that we could do together regularly
We have a total of three children and 11y.o
Our son who is 2y.o ( but attends another school) and then our youngest, who whom I am seeking care for are currently.
I’m really looking for somebody who can come into our home and feels like a family member who is incredibly trustworthy and kind.
If this sounds like something you can accommodate-please message me 🫶🏽

A little bit about us

Experienced Family Assistant / Mother’s Helper

We’re a family of five with three young children (ages 3, 2 & newborn) looking for an experienced Family Assistant/Mother’s Helper to become a trusted extension of our family.

Unlike a traditional nanny, who is typically the primary caregiver, a Family Assistant/Mother’s Helper works alongside a parent who is home, providing flexible support for both the children and household.

We’re looking for someone who is warm, nurturing, dependable, organized, proactive, and naturally takes initiative. The ideal person notices what needs to be done without waiting for direction and enjoys helping a young family thrive.

Responsibilities will vary based on our family’s needs and may include childcare, household upkeep, meal preparation, organization, errands, and supporting our daily routines.

Parenting Style

We’re a limited screen-time household that practices respectful, mindful parenting. We value connection, emotional regulation, curiosity, learning through play, time outdoors, and creating a calm, loving, structured environment where our children feel safe and encouraged to grow.

Qualifications

• Significant infant & toddler experience
• Family Assistant, Mother’s Helper, nanny, or similar experience
• Non-smoker
• Reliable transportation & excellent references
• CPR/First Aid preferred
• Comfortable with dogs

Schedule

Monday – Thursday • Flexible between 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. • 2–6 hour shifts

We’ll begin with two days per week and hope to add more days over time if it’s a great fit.

Competitive pay based on experience.

Types of Nanny Jobs and Nanny Responsibilities in Colorado

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Colorado. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.

How to Interview for a Nanny Job in Colorado

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here is a list of some nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What do you think children like best about you?
  • What kind of activities will you do with children this age?
  • How do you handle problems that arise behaviorally and emotionally with kids this age?

Beyond answering questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
