A little bit about me
I have my own vehicle with up to date tags, insurance, and license. I've been trained in CPR and first aid. I love animals so I'm completely okay with pets. I don't mind doing light housekeeping or running errands here and there. Pretty much anything your family needs, we can manage to work out!
I've been working with younger children for two years now! I have been a nanny for two families so far and a sitter for many. I started while I was in school for phlebotomy and I ended up enjoying childcare more!
My first family was for two teenagers. I mostly helped them with homework and keeping them on task throughout the day. One of them had a few emotional delays so they needed extra help getting her to and from appointments. She also went to school online while her brother was in high school so I helped her before we went to pick him up and do our after school clubs.
My most recent family is a three child family, 6, 4, & 3. One of the children is on the autism spectrum, he's verbal but his mind doesn't stay here. We're currently learning how to swim and read so I'm very sad to see them go. ):
I don't sit at home with the TV all day. We go out to the park, a pool, a picnic trip. I've done beach trips, the zoo, arts festivals. I love doing arts and crafts and swimming.
We don't just eat junk!! As much as I love sweets and pizza, it's meant in moderation. I understand how picky some children can be but we at least try our fruit and veggies! I hate bringing tears or tantrums to mealtime over frozen nuggets but healthy habits start early.
I am pretty strict, in my opinion. The rules you set for your children are meant to be followed! If they go too far, they're put into a timeout. When they're ready to apologize, we sit and talk about why they acted out to help them learn and understand their emotions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. (:
