A little bit about us

My husband and I both work at the hospital. Nanny would work around my hours which include part time work, daytime hours. I will work a mix of 2-3 days a week but would still like help on my off days.

My son, Liam, is 8 months and very quiet and sweet. He is learning to crawl and soon walk. He mostly gets upset when he is tired or hungry, otherwise, very gentle.

My daughter, Sofia, is 2 with a lot of energy. She is moving constantly and loves to go to the park, read books, and dance. She is likes someone who is willing to play with her and be silly with.

Expectations would include light housework (cleaning up after kids/ dishes) and helping with everyday child care.

A little bit about us

Need two part time PCAs to help out with our two children. They are both autistic so we are looking for someone who has experience with individuals with autism, ADHD, or neurodiverse individuals with support needs. If you don’t have that experience, an open mind and willingness to learn can go a long way!

This means you:

Are positive and patient and want to have fun 1:1 with them based on what they are interested in and by following their lead.

Can pick up on non-verbal cues and behavior as communication.

Can redirect behavior if needed in a positive way without escalation and show compassion.

Are able to physically move quickly to keep up with them and keep them safe. Have awareness of safety.

They are both school aged. One child can speak but is not conversational and one has emerging speech. Both love being outside, playing with water, singing and music, Disney movies, reading, swinging and tumbling and playing on their tablets. They love to laugh and show their goofy sides, especially once they get to know people.

Availability: Some evenings after 4:00 pm and weekends. One weeknight shift of 2-3 hours and one weekend shift 4-6 hours. In July and August, some morning hours available between 7:00 and 11. Somewhat flexible on days.

To start, shifts will be in our home with a parent at home for guidance a few hours a week to establish relationships and trust. After that, some community experiences may be possible or you may be left alone.

Each shift you will be responsible to work 1:1 with one child at a time. Another PCA may also be there working 1:1 with the other child.

Upon hire, you must pass a background check and be fingerprinted to work for us. This is of no cost to you. Payment will be through payroll, and mileage reimbursed if transporting them.

Perks: Wage increases and stipends available for additional training and longevity. Great experience for someone going into education, healthcare or psychology.

This can include family laundry, cleaning washrooms, preparing meals, organizing closets and rooms, and vacuuming.

Interviewing for a Housekeeper Nanny Position in Minnesota

After talking to a few employers, you’ll be invited for a housekeeping nanny job interview. Here are a few housekeeping nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What qualities do you have that make you a good housekeeping nanny?
  • What do you enjoy about looking after a home?
  • How many years of experience do you have with house cleaning?

In a housekeeping nanny job interview, you’ll have the opportunity to provide your nanny references and ask any questions that you would like to know about them. If you decide after this interview that you would like to continue, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can ensure that you’re getting off on the right foot with your future employer.
