A little bit about me
I began babysitting/nannying in high school and continued through college. Additionally, I have worked with children in professional/clinical settings for 1.5 years. I love coming up with creative ways to keep your kiddos engaged and active during my time with them.
I have experience with children from infants to teenagers. I have also worked with large families in the past and am very comfortable nannying multiple children.

A little bit about me
I love working with kids and have had lots of experience in childcare! I started babysitting at age 11 and have done occasional babysitting over the years. I’ve served in my church’s preschool as a teacher and worship pianist for several years now and love my time with the little ones there. Additionally, I previously served with the girls ministry team.
I’m also a piano teacher and have had my own studio for almost 8 years now! (I started teaching when I was 14!) I have worked with countless children through this and established great teaching and mentorship relationships.
I dream of being a wife and mom so I’d like to use this opportunity to help me prepare for that next season of life!
I’d consider myself to have an energetic and bubbly personality (I can be very silly, too 😂) around kids. I love playing with them, doing fun projects, reading to them, being active, and being musical! Hope to hear from you!
Have a blessed day!
Lexi 💕

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in White Bear Lake, MN
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
White Bear Lake Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in White Bear Lake? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in White Bear Lake?
- Do you have a driver’s license in MN? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
