A little bit about me
One of my biggest passions is cooking; I love creating meals that bring comfort and connection, whether it’s trying a new recipe or making a family favorite. I also genuinely enjoy helping others and making a positive difference, especially in roles where I can support and care for others in meaningful ways.
In addition, I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which helps me connect with a broader range of people and families. I’m easygoing, dependable, and love creating a warm, engaging environment.

A little bit about me
In 2017, I started babysitting a newborn until May 2025, when he turned 8 years old.
At the same time, I began my teaching journey in 2021 when I taught ESL to kids 3-8 years old at a language school.
Also, in October of that same year, I kept working with the previous family welcoming their newborn.
While babysitting every weekend, holidays, and summer vacations, I continued my teaching journey, completing my Master’s Degree in English Teaching for Teens and Adults. I worked as a lead teacher in a High School in Spain during the months of November 2023 to April 2024.
As my last experience, in September 2024 I became the Head of Studies and Lead Teacher of a Language School in Terrassa, Barcelona. There, I worked with all type of students from newborns to adults.
I am caring, empathetic, fun, and patient.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Bay Shore, NY
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Bay Shore Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Bay Shore? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Bay Shore?
- Do you have a driver’s license in NY? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
