A little bit about me
I am moving to Bend this September to get my associates degree in nursing at Central Oregon Community College. I will be there for three years before I transfers to eventually get my masters. I am from Ashland Oregon where I am a part time nanny for many of our family friends children ages range from 3 months to 13 yrs. I am educated in first aid though I am not certified, but I do have my CPR certification. I would consider myself an active person, as I like to run, go nordic and alpine skiing as well as mountain biking.

A little bit about me
My name is Kristie, but my little friends call me TT! I just relocated to NE Bend from Redmond last weekend and have availability for full or part time infants.
I truly love kids and I have excellent references and an extensive background in the medical arena. I like to do a lot of crafts, reading, outdoor activities and baking. I have two kids of my own, a 25 year old daughter in law enforcement and a 15 year old son who is adored by everyone who meets him.
After being a private nanny for 2 years, I decided to open my own in-home infant childcare. I have a HUGE a playroom filled with Montessori toys and activities. I also have a private nursery and every child has their own crib.
My home is very clean and I limit germs with proper hand washing and wiping down surfaces/toys.
My littles are advanced and know basic animal sounds, body parts, sign language and have established sleep training to name a few beneficial milestones.

A little bit about me
My name is Nanichi (Nanii), I'm an experienced, nurturing childcare provider with a passion for fostering children's development. My patient and calm nature allows me to connect with children on their level, while my creativity and imagination keep them engaged and entertained.
I've spent the last year as a Daycare Teacher at Mt Bachelor, and have been working with a Montessori here in Bend with 1-4 y/Os. I am on the CBR, CPR/first aid certified, licensed, and a certified Daycare Teacher. Outside of daycare I am an avid roller skater and run a small business!
I enjoy a variety of activities, including outdoor exploration, art projects, and activities that introduce basic motor and life skills.
I'm confident in my ability to provide reliable, high-quality care for your children. As a mother to a toddler, I understand the need for support, please let me be that for you!
Cheers,
Nanii

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Bend, OR
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Bend Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Bend? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Bend?
- Do you have a driver’s license in OR? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
