A little bit about me
Experiance:
I have worked with children my entire life. ~Growing up with a grandma and two aunts in the same town as me that each owned a daycare I was always helping. In their daycare's there was children from infants to 10-year-olds.
~In 2014 I was a nanny for three years to an 8 year old boy, a 3 year old girl and a 6 month old girl. As a nanny I would bring activities to do with the children, play with them, prepare their meals, run them around and much more. In the summers I would work full time and in the school year I worked everyday when I got out of school.
~The first three months of this year I spent volunteering in five different orphanages in Ecuador with kids all different ages, feeding them, getting them to bed, getting them ready for the day, planning physical activities and a craft with them. ~One of the orphanages was for severely handicapped children and children with special needs, we would bathe, feed, dress and do our best to let these children know that they are loved.
Availability:
I will be avalible to start working full time April 21st with an open scheudle but I start Massage Therepy School on June 4th. School will be Monday's, Tuesday's and Friday's from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm. I will be able to work anything around those hours. Please contact me at [phone number hidden]) if you have any questions.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Provo, UT
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Provo Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Provo? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Provo?
- Do you have a driver’s license in UT? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
