Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve had paid experience with families that know my mom and friends with young children. I have done a lot of volunteer time year round as well as being a leader for little ones’ camps during summertime. Volunteer time consisted of playing games with them, teaching and supervising. During this time I also made it a point to get to know them. Ex: favorite color l, favorite food, something fun they get to do, and a high of the week.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some indoor would be coloring, watching their favorite movie, doing sing along, snack time, any learning activity per preference. Outdoor activities go to would be the park.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me most about being around children in general is that the time spent is intentional. While I am not a mom myself, from my experience being help to moms is to fill a child’s time up with fun while also learning. This could be learning something academically like writing speaking or learning shapes. Could be artistic like drawing or arts and crafts. Depending on the age it could also be some slight life lessons here and there. But these times do resonate with them as they grow and can impact them in some way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A sweet and memorable moment was when I was caring for a family friend’s son. He wasn’t able to walk just yet but would always stand up and one day he stood up by the couch and I recorded for the parents but he took his first steps and let go of the couch.
