A little bit about me

Hi there! I’ve been a nanny for closing in on a decade. Growing up I had a big family which meant a lot of babies and children to play with and babysit. My mother worked in daycare as I got older and I would often accompany her on days off of school to “volunteer” and help out with the kids. I love the setting of a nanny vs daycare work because you get more one on one time and it makes it much more personal. I love seeing the growth in children as they learn and pick up new things. I was cpr and first aid certified but that ran out and I have not updated my course, which I would happily do if requested. I have a clean record, a new car, and do not smoke. I like to go to playgroups, story time at a local library, museum for some science fun, meet up with other Nannie’s and children for social time. The days we spend at home we do free play/play based learning. I do have a son who turns 1 in August who will need to accompany me. Questions? Ask away!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy being outdoors at playgrounds, hiking, running through fields and swimming. Taking kids to indoor activities like story times, music, museums, playgroups. At home I like to do play based learning, crafts and reading books.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are many important aspects of being a nanny but the first and foremost is having a love for the children, kids will be kids, days can be long but at the end you get to be a huge part in helping form the next generation. They get to do so much more with a nanny than they get from a daycare, with the same added social experiences!
