More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of experience working with children in both educational and home settings. Professionally, I worked as a special education teacher for two years before serving as a Lead Montessori Teacher for children ages 3–6. I also served as the Child Care Director and On-Site Supervisor of a licensed early childhood program, where I planned developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supported children's social-emotional growth, partnered with families, and oversaw daily program operations.
I hold an Iowa teaching license and have completed Montessori teacher training, with experience supporting children of varying ages, abilities, and developmental needs. Prior to teaching, I nannied for the same family for three consecutive summers and babysat for multiple families throughout high school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy planning hands-on activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence. Some of my favorite activities include reading together, arts and crafts, sensory play, baking, science experiments, outdoor adventures, nature walks, music and movement, building with blocks, imaginative play, puzzles, and board games. I also love exploring the community through trips to the library, zoo, science center, local parks, splash pads, and pool days. Whether we're cooking, gardening, creating art, or discovering something new in the community, my goal is to provide fun, enriching experiences that support children's learning, confidence, and sense of wonder.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a trusting, caring relationship with both the children and their family. Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, respected, and encouraged to be themselves. I strive to create an environment where children can learn through play, explore their interests, gain confidence, and develop independence while knowing they have someone who is patient, dependable, and genuinely invested in their well-being. I believe open communication with parents and consistency in care are essential to helping children thrive.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience includes two years as a special education teacher, where I supported students with a variety of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with children with diverse abilities, adapting instruction, routines, and support strategies to meet each child's individual needs. I believe in building strong relationships, focusing on each child's strengths, and creating environments where they feel safe, understood, and successful. I am comfortable collaborating with families and implementing individualized strategies to support children's growth and development.
