Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered at The Ridge church in the daycare for months, caring for ages between >1 and <3 years old. I’ve watched my nephew countless amounts of times as a toddler. I also have babysat before for families I have met through others. I have worked with all ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy crafts and coloring, reading, swimming/water play… going the the park, anything that can boost creativity and being active.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience, and making sure the child/children get enough attention as they would from their parents being at home. I also don’t prefer using screens, so outside and inside engaging activities is very important to provide crucial development to children. And to also make every moment special, and have fun!
My experience with special needs children...
My brother is special needs, but I have not cared for any other special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is dancing with one of my baby sitting kids listening to Frozen music. I also loved watching my nephew’s bravery grow when we’d go to the pool and he’d go down the slide for the first time. I also love problem solving with kids, and hugging it out if something upset them.
