Hello! My name is Audrey Besen and I'm currently a student at CSU. Previously, I have worked as a volunteer at the Lyons library, and as an instructor at Mathnasium, both of which have given me experience working with children. At the Lyons library, I helped plan and execute events such as Lego night, and author visits, which taught me how to create and organize fun activities that kids actually enjoy. I have also worked more directly with kids at Mathnasium where I was a math tutor for middle and elementary school-aged children. In my opinion, almost nothing is as difficult as trying to get tired middle schoolers to do math after the school day has ended, but it gave me important and necessary childcare skills. I know how to get kids to listen to me, even if they're being difficult or having a rough day, and I also have practice with helping multiple kids at once. Overall, I love working with children, and I would be an excellent nanny!
