At Mathnasium I taught kids math, and I worked with a middle schooler named Owen who was really struggling in school. He had been failing every math test for months, so the other instructors and I had him bring in his homework and walked him through every problem and concept even though he kept saying he wouldn't be able to do it. A few days later he came into the building glowing because he'd passed the test.
