More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes consistently babysitting throughout high school for multiple families, where I was trusted with evening and weekend care, handling bedtime routines, preparing simple meals, and managing multiple kids at once. I’ve also worked with children in a physical therapy setting, where I helped support sessions by keeping kids motivated and engaged, adapting activities to their interests, and learning how to respond to different energy levels and needs. Across these experiences, I’ve become comfortable stepping into a family’s routine, staying organized, and communicating clearly with parents about how things are going.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities to do with children are anything that gets them moving, exploring, and having fun. I love spending time at parks and playgrounds, going to the pool, playing games outside, or going on little walks or adventures. I also enjoy more low key activities like crafts, reading together, or building things. I try to follow what the child is interested in and build activities around that, so it feels fun and natural while still keeping them active and engaged.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with children with special needs comes primarily from my time observing in a physical therapy setting. In that environment, I worked with children with a wide range of abilities and needs, and saw how important patience, flexibility, and encouragement are in helping them feel comfortable and successful. I learned how to adjust my approach based on each child, whether that meant breaking things down into smaller steps, using play to keep them engaged, or simply giving them the time and space they needed. It helped me become more attentive, understanding, and responsive to each child as an individual.

Babysitter Available in Edina, MN: Gwendolyn W.
I got into child care early at my summer camp; I went there as a child myself. I love the outdoors, animals, and learning (please ask me about when I worked on a corral). I got a dual degree in Psychology and Spanish Studies and have been to 16 countries. I lived on and off in Spain from 2024 to 2026. I can have an energetic and adventurous personality, but I find that a lot of children I work with don't mind too much. I look forward to seeing where this path leads!

Hi - I'm a newly retired ER nurse with over 35 years experience. Am looking for a different commitment. I come from a large family - includes 80 nieces and nephews. I just finished putting my 4 kids thru law school. Am a widow and live here in Richfield and own my condo. Have dealt with many crisis situations thru the years. I don't get flustered very easy. Looking for a job that will keep me busy and still have fun. Prefer part time. I don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't drink coffee. My vice is Dr Pepper Cherry :)

Hey! My name is Hannah Betker, I’m 19 years old. I’m currently a freshman at Bemidji State University, the plan is to major in nursing! I am CPR and First Aide Certified. I currently work as a CNA and have worked as a DSP in the past. I’ve been babysitting kids in my family and kids around the neighborhood for as long as I can remember! I love spending time with kids and getting to be a role model in their lives. In my free time, I’m often spending time with my friends and family (including my dogs), am out on the lake, or trying new things! I’m outgoing, compassionate, responsible and a good communicator. I am looking for a nanny position while being home from college. I would love to find a family to connect with!
