More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting since 2022 and I am licensed in CPR. I was a student in Lincoln-Way Central’s early education class, where i spent 2 years teaching preschoolers under the supervision of the class. I was also employed at LWSRA where I was a program aide for special needs individuals with ages ranging from 3-60 years old for 9 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love a good rainy day filled with activities like reading, coloring, singing and dancing, roleplaying, building, cooking and baking. On the contrary, I am not opposed to a day spent outside going for walks, playing sports, swimming, and reconnecting with nature. My all-time favorite activity has to be playing any type of game. Whether that is playing grocery store, school, kitchen, or chess, checkers, and twister.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is forming good relationships with the children, and their parents. I understand that with babysitting, trust is everything, and it can be really hard leaving your child in the hands of another individual. For that reason, i think it is very important to be extremely transparent to the parents about what will/ has happened in the time I spend with the children, and well as making sure the children know that I am there for them 100% of the time. Making sure the children have trust in me to take care of and be there for them is very important to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had lots of experience with special needs children of all kinds. While i was a student at Lincoln-Way Central, I was a part of the Peer PE program where i spend my gym period assisting my school’s special education classes in typical gym activities. I was also employed at the LWSRA for 9 months where I was a program aide to special needs individuals from ages 3 years old, to 60 years old.

The most important part about being a nanny...

While babysitting for my first ever family, I realized that I had seen the two younger children go through both years of preschool where they achieved milestones like: learning their alphabet, learning how to write and spell their names, and in the case of the youngest child, talk! Another fond memory was when me and the children of one family all sat down together and played roblox! They had a lot to teach me, but it was so fun to be able to get down to their levels and connect with them in ways that made them feel special and seen. I wanted them to know that i care about what they care about, and I hope they feel that.
