More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Childcare Director and teacher for a licensed childcare center for children ages 2 to 12 from [phone number hidden]. Raised my own two children and have five grandchildren. Also experience with teens from presiding over youth groups in various settings.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Parks are great! Love to do nature oriented walks for discovery/educational (science etc./finding leaves, rocks etc. for art projects/exercise. Playgrounds for exercise/socialization. I am creative and love doing crafts. I like to teach simple cooking skills. We also taught some simple etiquette skills: manners, courtesy, responsibility with their things - even using play $$ for learning monetary value. Of course I would always have discussions with parents/guardians to remain within the boundaries of their wishes concerning anything with their children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many things that are vitally important when caring for someone’s children. Here are some examples I have learned through my years of being a mom, a childcare professional, and now a grand-mother. This would encompass a span of over 35 years…
1. Keeping their child/children safe from both emotional and physical harm at all times to the best of their abilities
2. Working their schedule as diligently as possible, unless there is a truly valid reason they cannot be there.
3. Partnering with parents to doing their utmost best to uphold the current
parenting style
4. Reinforcing family values and traditions.
5. Offering expertise with child development and/or advice if requested and desired.
6. Creating a stimulating, fun, educational environment with responsive interactions, and emotional safety.
7. Providing age appropriate activities that are vital to the development of motor skills, strength, and cognitive growth.

My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience with special needs children, as we did have students in our childcare center through the years with special needs. My daughter is an ABA therapist and taught our staff several ways to care for and assist special-needs children within a classroom environment..We helped them become very successful within our program, and the parents were so excited to see their accomplishments!
The most important part about being a nanny...
As I’ve been a caregiver with my own children and grandchildren, and a Childcare teacher and director for over 13 yrs, I will share my favorite moment from my “Childcare years”.
My favorite moment was when the single mom of a nonverbal autistic child came into the center one morning and said that he had spoken to her using a clear but short phrase for the first time. She had tears of joy. Of course every teacher in the center cried too. We were all so happy for her and for him. He was already five going on six.
A lot of patience is involved in teaching and caring for kids of any age. I am fortunate to have had the privilege of caring for so many families over the 13+ years I was in Childcare. Many favorite and precious moments like described above. I look forward to having many more stories about the favorite moments I look forward to experiencing and treasuring as a Professional Nanny🥰

Babysitter Available in Greenville, SC: Joëlle S.
I love kids and long to be a mother hopefully in the next few years! My husband and I got married recently and have struggled with baby fever, but we know it’s in our best interest to wait a couple years. I love the outdoors, going for drives, listening to music, and I’m a huge animal lover! I have a part time job as a pet sitter as well. I work full time at North Greenville University library, but would like to test the waters of babysitting again. I babysat a couple years ago but I eventually had too much going on with my other job and school so I had to take a break. But I have missed it so much and would love to start up again and maybe get a full time job as a nanny!
