I’m a nanny because Dear Parents, My name is Tatyana, and I am from Moscow, Russia. I hold two higher educations as a teacher of Russian language and literature and as a doctor. Since moving to NY with my daughter 9 years ago, I enjoyed working as a babysitter for 2 wonderful Russian-speaking families. I would like to find a full-time, live-out caregiver position in a wonderful Russian-speaking family. First, I cared for a boy from the age of 6 months to 6 years, then I cared for a girl from the age of 9 months to [phone number hidden] years. I paid very close attention to these children’s developmental progress. I educated them by playing games, reading and talking, and taking them for explorative walks. I take pride in tenderly caring for children’s well-being, making sure that they are well-fed, dressed for the weather, etc. I am endlessly fascinated by children’s curiosity. In the two families where I worked, I enjoyed helping my little scientists explore the world around them. Children have an incredible awareness for details, and I enjoy helping them make sense of the things they notice. I recognize each child’s uniqueness and enjoy tailoring my approach to each child. Most importantly, when I work with children, I feel happy and rewarded. I am a resourceful and active person, so I enjoy devoting my energy to helping children develop their skills and talents. I am especially pleased when I work with one family for a long time, so that I can fully devote myself to nurturing a child from his or her first months. It brings me a lot of joy to witness every step of the child’s development and to contribute to the child’s physical, emotional, and social well-being. As a native Russian speaker and licensed teacher, I enjoy helping children develop a good understanding of Russian culture, language, and literature. I have warm and trusting relationships with previous employers. They describe me as intelligent, well-mannered, responsible, reliable, kind, and caring. They are more than happy to answer your questions! Sincerely, Tatyana Barshak
