Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I have been an ELC teacher for 6 years at different centers across Oregon. I will be happy to bring references and my resume to interviews! I am also a doula in training I have extensive knowledge on preborns and new borns!
Activities I enjoy doing with children…I am big on anything art, I explained a bit in my brio but my main focus is to really see what the children are interested in and create an environment where they can experience and explore their interests; as well as inspiring expressive and autonomous play. I also love sensory play that appropriate for the age of the child I’m with and lots of outside time rain or shine!
The most important part about being a nanny…I resigned as a in center teacher due to covid and the risks of being in the classroom. The most important part of being a care worker/nanny is, communication, trust and a love for the little humans you work care for. Making sure the children know that I am there for them and you as parents know your children and yourselves will be supported while I’m working for you.
My experience with special needs children…I have experience working with children with Autism, ADHD and Cerebral Palsy.
My favorite nanny moment…I haven’t been a nanny but I do have a favorite moment at my last center. I had taught the kids a new song and it had been about two weeks and when we sat for morning meeting they were all singing the song I taught them with the hang gestures and everything: it was such a warm moment.
