A little bit about me
I am a certified EMT who has extensive experience in emergency and crisis care. In addition, I have been a personal nanny in Sheridan WY for the past 4 years, and have held various baby-sitting jobs since the age of 9. I also have 5 years of professional experience working with adults and adolescence with developmental delays and physical disabilities.
I have many hobbies, to include ultra running, cycling, hiking, skiing, reading, baking, travel and arts & crafts. Anything that keeps me active and outside is by far my favorite!!
If you think I would be a good fit, or would like to discuss my experience in more depth, drop me a message. I am happy to adapt to your family’s needs whether it be light housekeeping, preparing meals, planning activities with the kids or helping with homework. Keeping with your routine is important to me. Happy to provide references upon request!
I look forward to hearing from you,
Joy

A little bit about me
Many say that I have a gift. I had a very rough childhood so I have made it my mission to give any and all kids the life I didn't have and wished I did. I have spent many years in child care services. I recently was a nanny for a 18 month old. I worked in there home every day of the week. I have spent a long time babysitting and raising siblings as well. If I was hired you would not be let down. In the questions there was a question about a car. Unfortunately our car just broke down but we are working on getting in running again. I am not CPR certified but have had experiences when a child was choking and I defused the situation. Feel free to reach out. God bless

A little bit about me
I worked with one family for 9 years, and each child had a special need, so I am very comfortable with learning how to care for each child individually and learning what is best!
I also worked at a professional child care facility for almost a year where I took care of many kids and learned so much more for everyone I was around.
I love to be with kids, it brings me joy to be able to give someone else’s child love while they are away and being a friend when needed for a child.
I have worked with ages of 3 months up to 15 years of age.

I specialize in crafts and coloring and fun! I have a reliable vehicle and am CPR/First Aid Certified. I know how to hide spinach in a delicious fruit and yogurt smoothie (they won’t even know it’s there!) I also am famous for my octopus Mac and cheese (the hot dogs look like octopus)
I have a small dog and cat at my home but they’re very good with kids - the cat will tolerate lots of petting and isn’t scared of new faces.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Sheridan, WY
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Sheridan can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Sheridan Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Wyoming?
- Do you have a Wyoming driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
