A little bit about us

I am looking for someone to watch my daughter, 4 months, full time and my son, 4 years, either part time or possibly full time as well. My daughter is currently in chemotherapy treatment so I would need someone that could come to our home. There is only 1 oral medication that I would need the person watching her to administer, I or my husband would be taking her to receive her treatment or see the dr. If my son is accepted into our local preschool I would need the nanny to pick him up once school was out at 2:30.

A little bit about us

Looking for an honest and dependable part-time nanny and house cleaner for 15-20 hours a week. Hours and days are flexible. In exchange for the part-time help we would include free rent and utilities in a detached and fully equipped in-law unit. We are 15 minutes from Fayetteville. Any hours above 20 per week would default to $20 an hour. We live on a little hobby farm some comfort with animals is a must. Must have references and a full background check!

The kids are in school part-time, so just looking for date nights and occasional weekend afternoons if possible. Meal prep, activities, routines, etc. I’m expecting a newborn in December, so these duties might be expanded to picking up from school or running additional errands.

I really would like someone who is okay with dishes, laundry, and sweeping. Just keeping the space tidy and sanitized when you’re here and not at the in law. Nothing too intense or deep cleaning.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Arkansas

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Arkansas

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Arkansas? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a Arkansas nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
