Both my husband and I are active duty military. My husband works Monday-Friday and sometimes 1 weekend day a month. This is known a month ahead of time. He leaves the house around 6am and most days gets home around 3:30pm. I work a rotating schedule of 12 hours shifts. One week I work Mon, Tues, Friday, Sat, Sun and then next week I work Wed, Thurs. I will have maternity leave until the baby is 4 months old. Looking for a nanny that will come to our home for max 3 days per week starting in January2026.
I will be using a military assistance. The requirements for the assistance are the following:

A little bit about us

Hi! We're a young family in Temecula. We welcomed our first son, Grayson, to the world in November of 2021. We're both working parents, working from home, but we need some help watching Grayson for a few hours a day. We're thinking 20 hours a week will be enough to start but we're open to that changing as things progress. There's no pick-up/drop-off requirements or anything. We just need someone to play with him and take care of him while we're working.

We do have 2 pets but we don't need any pet care. Our dog is a trained service dog (not active) and our cat just likes to sit on different perches and observe what's going on. :)

Childcare needed once baby is 6 months old. This will be in Nov. 2025. I will only need a nanny for one day a week for about 8 hours. Not sure of the day of the week just yet.
We do have 2 big dogs. They are very friendly. You will not have to take care of them at all.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Temecula, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Temecula, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Temecula, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
