Ellen W. - Seeking Work in Norcross

I have worked consistently as a professional nanny for over 18 years. I have worked various situations throughout the years from on call to permenant (3 to 7 years) per family! I have cared for newborn infants during the day as well as (over night duty) ie - cared for 6 week old preemies for two months earlier this year. I have also worked with a single mom as her long term afterschool nanny for over seven years. I have kept in close contact with the family! Ideally I am looking for a long term perm position where I can grow with the family and be someone the child can depend on and trust to be a reliable role model and friend! The last two positions I held were interim positions. I cared for a baby boy FT while parents were at work and while their current nanny was on leave. And late last year I worked a house manager position which included running errands, organization skills and transportation for the parent's son and daughter. There was also a lot of moral support for the little boy who was adjusting to the new baby. I gave him positive direction and also tutored him with his homework. Early last year, I worked with a family who wanted me to help them get through their baby daughter's first few months. She had some acid reflux. I used patience, love and assurance to help this sleep deprived family get through their days and to help the baby receive important rest. It was a rewarding experience for me and one I will never forget! I also have worked with a couple of families late last year and earlier this year who needed assistance with their infant/toddler until the grandmother came on board. Both fun experiences. In general you could say that I have been a loyal and dependable hard working nanny who has worked in a variety of circumstances and positions along the way. I mentor, love and educate the children in my care and if needed, I am also available to start a neighborhood music appreciation program for infants and toddlers. I have a lot of creative talents and a good deal of training and experience working with all age groups of children. RESUME UPON REQUEST!

I have taught Pre-K, and taught one year olds the year before, and currently am a co-teacher in the infant classroom at a private preschool. I have worked with all ages of children including infants for several years as a volunteer au pair. During that time, I cared for a family of 6, including caring for their infant son overnight. I currently nanny for a family of 5 for afterschool/evenings, and any job I have will need to coordinate with that commitment also. The children get home from school at or after 3:45. I have 40+ class hours in various Early Childhood classes, covering many different subjects specifically for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. It is my goal to someday be working overseas, possibly working in an orphanage or some type of children related organization. I love traveling, and lived in Spain last summer. I love art and music, and being outdoors. I obviously LOVE children, they are such an joy to my life. I am very interested in hearing back from you, I am excited about this possibility. I am currently employed, but am pursuing a different job due to future schooling (Special Education/Occupational Therapist field), scheduling issues, etc.

I've been caring for children since I was a child. I am the eldest of 8, so I had to be the second mommy. When I wasn't caring for my younger siblings, I was babysitting for neighbors and other family members. While in high school I took childcare classes, and shortly after the birth of my daughter, I worked as a daycare provider in the toddler room. I have cared for an autistic child and assisted his mother in homeschooling. Also, I am the mother of a 15 year old daughter, so I have plenty of life experience. I currently care for a 4 year old boy and an 8 year old girl, I have been with this family for 1 year. This is my second time working for them. I home schooled the daughter last school year, but this year she and her brother will attend school full time. Prior to this assignment, I ran an summer camp/after school care program for K-8.

I was a nanny for two years while I was in high school. The family had two 12 yr. olds. During the summer, I would work Monday through Saturday from around 9-6 everyday. My job included feeding them, taking them to medical appointments, and being their caretaker for the majority of everyday. This family had a pool, so I was also responsible for watching them while they were swimming. During the school year, I took them to and from school everyday and was their tutor. Most weekends, I would be working with them. This family also hosted many parties, in which I would watch their children and the children of their guests. Aside from this family, I also babysat a girl from the time she was 1 1/2 yrs. old to the time she was 5 yrs. old. Occasionally I would babysit other children ranging from ages 6-12.

I graduated college in 2003 and was a full time nanny for a family with triplets who were just under a year old when I started, until they started Kindergarten. My next job was working with twins who I started with when they were 3 months old and worked with them until they were 3.5. I come from a large family and have had a baby on my hip from a very young age. Throughout middle and high school I babysat for children of all ages. During college I was a summer nanny for a family with a set of triplet girls that were 2 1/2 when i started. My most recent position was with a family with just one child, who i started with at 3 months and is now 2 and 1/2. His mother is having a 2nd child in December and is planning to stay home

I usually end up nannying/babysitting families with multiples. I've always been drawn to multiples since I was young. I've nannied/babysat for 2 year old identical twin boys and their 4 year old brother, 3 year old triplets (twins and their triplet brother) and their 8 year old sister and a family of 5 children (older sister, boy/girl twins and the youngest in the family are identical twin girls with Down Syndrome, whom I started watching when the youngest twins were about 10-12 weeks old). I've also nannied for families without multiples but I have no problem keeping up with several kids of the same age!
