A little bit about me
I have been working as a nanny for over three years now. Currently, I nanny for three different families with ages ranging from 2 years old to 14. I nannied full-time for a year and half (began August 2017 to January 2019). The family had four children--I started with them when the youngest was 6 weeks old! It was amazing to be there during a baby's entire first year of life.
In addition to all of those families, I have worked with another family since my junior year of high school (2014/15). With them I have traveled to Mexico, Aruba, Hawaii, and other places. I have spent many overnight weekends at their house.
I currently live in Illinois. I am planning to move to Denver, CO this coming Spring with my older brother. I come from a family of 11. I have 8 nieces and nephews. Kids really bring a lot of joy into my life!

A little bit about me
My name is Kaylee. I studied Neuroscience at CU and graduated in 2021. I have been working full-time as a marketing associate, and am realizing I do not see myself climbing the corporate ladder long term. I love children and have baby sat as needed since high school. I continue to do so for my friends with kiddos! I have watched babies from 6 months - pre-teens. In high school, college, and post-grad, I was a peer mentor and worked with youth in the PBLA program at Regis. I have also developed a bit of a home cooking hobby so I thoroughly enjoy making meals from scratch kids and families. I’m even working on my sourdough skills.
As this would be a new full-ish time gig for me, I am open to discussing rate and hours based on what your family needs. Look forward to hearing from you soon!

A little bit about me
I am in my third summer as a full-time summer nanny in Colorado for a family with two kids and often stay the night with the kids while one or both parents are on business trips. Currently my job entails driving the kids to camps, taking them to the pool, keeping them generally entertained and busy, fixing them meals, helping with summer homework, supervising chores, watering the plants, and doing laundry. This family has a total of six pets so I am comfortable with animals as well. Previously to this I worked for the family part-time as a swim instructor and babysitter.
I worked as a Red Cross certified Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for four years so I do know CPR and basic first aid. My certification has expired but I am willing to pay to retake the class. I am also comfortable changing diapers, feeding/bathing babies, and more.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me here or contact me via email ([email hidden]).

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Denver, CO
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Denver Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Denver? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Denver?
- Do you have a driver’s license in CO? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
