A little bit about me…

Hi! My name is Shae and I’m 29 yrs old! Im a veteran to the U.S Army. I speak a second language(Spanish), and learning a third(Arabic). I love the outdoors, fitness, and cooking new meals! I’m also pet friendly, I have a puppy myself(just in case your baby has allergies). One thing the Army taught me is being attentive and ready to act and adapt. So whatever our little angel throws at me I’m ready to go!

A little bit about me…

I’m a 30 year old woman that loves to be around children - they bring so much joy to my world!

I worked at a preschool for a little over a year and babysat those same children on the weekends. Through that job, I was hired on as an after school nanny for a 4 & 7 year old. The youngest was severely autistic, mute, and always tried to run out any unlocked door. The oldest was severely ADHD, also needed my full attention, and stuck to me like glue. I nannied them for about 2 years and it was hard to say my goodbyes as I moved here to Florida. During the summer I also babysat for a 5 year old that had a stroke with his very active 4 year old brother.

Right now I teach ballroom full time, but as much as I love it, I find myself missing being a part of someone’s family & caring after the kids. I would like to transition into full time nanny!

I’m positive, honest, patient, & have experience with special needs children.

I’d love to find a family that embraces me as a part of their own!

Hi! My name is Essence, I am a 19-year-old college student attending the University of North Florida online this upcoming semester, due to Covid-19. I am looking to nanny because I love children and I figured, why not make money doing something I enjoy? I typically look after my 5-year-old niece, and 2-year-old twin nephews, but they will be returning to school this August, so I need to take care of new kids! Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Clermont, FL

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Clermont Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Clermont? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Clermont?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in FL? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.

Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny

Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
