A little bit about me
My oldest is adopted, he is 16. The next two are twins. They are 15 and born at 26 weeks. They were in NICU for 140 days, which gave me experience with all things preemie. Then I have a 12 year old who was a 32 weeker, and a full term 11 year old. They are all in school and I am hoping to find something while they are at school during the day. Maybe working for a teacher or school administrator looking for a nanny.
I love taking care of babies, but all of mine have grown up.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or you are interested.

A little bit about me
I recently tried working for a daycare and the pay was very low and they charged me half price for day care for my 2 year old as well. Financially it did not work out for what I felt like my child was getting.
My baby was sick the whole time we were there, dirty, had his shoes on the wrong feet etc.
My favorite thing to do is take my baby on walks, read books to him, play on the swing! We have lots of fun and I make way better meals than a daycare as well.
Warm & friendly your child will love me!
Lots of toys to play with, no stairs and a fenced in back yard!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Manchester, MO
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Manchester Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Manchester? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Manchester?
- Do you have a driver’s license in MO? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
