A little bit about me
I’m motivated by new challenges and never shy away from taking risks which is what led me to immigrate to the US and reinvent my career. What started as a short-term stint of babysitting my niece’s son turned into me accepting a full-time position at the Lightbridge Academy. I consider myself truly lucky to find work that brings me so much joy and is fulfilling. Over 8 years into this work and I still love what I do every day.
I hold a bachelor’s degree with multilingual fluencies (English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Marathi); experience as a teacher’s assistant for 8 years; certifications in First Aid, CPR and other 27 class management trainings. I’m well-suited for the Infant/Young Toddler care.
** IMP: Center City area only, no driving.

A little bit about me
I love working with children and have worked as a nanny to two kids throughout my college career. I have previously been CPR certified, and I can renew my certification in CPR and babysitting. I previously assisted in Lower School education programs including general classroom learning as well as Spanish immersion classes. I have my license and therefore I can drive. Additionally, I love making fun, engaging activities to do with kids that keep children and their minds active, especially over the winter break.
I would like to note that I am not fond of pets, but am ok with smaller dogs.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in MIDDLE CITY WEST, PA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
MIDDLE CITY WEST Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in MIDDLE CITY WEST? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in MIDDLE CITY WEST?
- Do you have a driver’s license in PA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility.
