A little bit about me
I’ve cared for many children of all different ages for most of my life. I especially enjoy caring for newborns and infants and am now caring for twin boys part-time. I am also happy to do overnights if you need to get some sleep!
*I am also very interested in doing overnights for newborns.
I’ve worked with numerous families from Nanny Lane for close to 5 years now and have excellent references.
I am nurturing, intuitive, proactive, very organized, incredibly responsible, respectful and overly but sensibly cautious when caring for babies and children. I’m especially cautious around water, accidents can happen in a split second.
My son was very precocious when he was little. Always thinking ahead, at the beach I would pin a card with my info to his bathing suit just in case. I never took my eyes off him.
A perpetual organizer, during nap time I have been known to fold laundry or reorganize a drawer. I am an animal lover as well!
I would be happy to meet!

A little bit about me
.I'm hoping to care for your child here in my home. I love music, especially classical piano. I have a large collection of children's books and toys, and have a fun playroom with lots of room for dancing, and we have plenty of space in the yard for outdoor play. I live with my husband, also retired, and we are a licensed Foster Care home for an older gentleman, a gifted musician who plays piano beautifully and enjoys playing children's songs. So our house is filled with music and lots of fun. Looking forward to meeting you and sharing the joys of life as I support your little one in their development.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in King of Prussia, PA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
King of Prussia Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in King of Prussia? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in King of Prussia?
- Do you have a driver’s license in PA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
