A little bit about me
This is my first time offering to help others with their children. I am in the middle of a career change (moving across the country to be an active participant in the life of my new granddaughter) & am looking to do something that I enjoy. I love kids & have always been great with them. I have coached many of my daughter's sports teams over the years & thoroughly enjoy being with all the kids.
My discipline method is what I call "thoughtful discipline". When they are old enough, it means time-outs but the children are to think about how they would handle the situation differently & identify how what they did affected not only them, but other people & we talk through it.
I also love pets and have been around many kinds my whole life. Small & big dogs, cats, rats, lizards, snakes, spiders, hedge hogs, chickens, dairy farms, birds, ducks...
I have been first aid certified in the past, however am not current. If required, I am happy to retake the certification.
