A little bit about me

Hi everyone!
I am a hands on, baby wearing, booboo kissing nanny that loves to sing, dance and play outside all day rain or shine.
My favourite age to work with is infants because they grow so much every single day.
It's amazing to see how beautiful the trees are or the first snowfall through a child's eyes and I feel so lucky to get to be apart of their individual journeys.

I have studied one year in E.C.E. and one year in psychology pre-covid
I am daycare teacher certified, just recertified as a special needs caregiver, and am in school to be a full spectrum Doula with BAI.
I have all relevant trainings for childcare up to date (CPR/AED/FIRST AIDE, Oregon trainings).
I am fully vaccinated, wear a mask, and sanitize regularly.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe mindfulness and positive exposure outside is more vital than ever to foster a sense of peace in children lives while they are seeing so many new and/scary situations. Likely we will be living like this for an extended period of time and teaching child to have a growth mindset is essential in them learning to adapt to a new world. In "normal" conditions I love taking children to OMSI or the children museum as well as library storytimes in both English and Spanish if your family is comfortable with language immersion.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having a handwritten card sent to me by a previous child I nannied for that she wrote 100% by herself. I have never felt so proud in my life than to see a baby I nannied for years go on to be able to write all by herself. (Which is of course a normal part of life but was just so special to me)
