Activities I enjoy doing with children…I love singing, dancing and playing outdoors as well as fun indoor crafts and lots of reading
The most important part about being a nanny…I believe mindfulness and positive exposure outside is more vital than ever to foster a sense of peace in children lives while they are seeing so many new and/scary situations. Likely we will be living like this for an extended period of time and teaching child to have a growth mindset is essential in them learning to adapt to a new world. In "normal" conditions I love taking children to OMSI or the children museum as well as library storytimes in both English and Spanish if your family is comfortable with language immersion.
My experience with special needs children…3 years with a child with STXBP1
My favorite nanny moment…Having a handwritten card sent to me by a previous child I nannied for that she wrote 100% by herself. I have never felt so proud in my life than to see a baby I nannied for years go on to be able to write all by herself. (Which is of course a normal part of life but was just so special to me)
