A little bit about me
I’m interested in this job due to my prior experience with children, where I worked in a daycare center. I’ll be going into my Junior year of highschool and I’m looking for a summer part time job that may lead into the school year. I love working with younger children, and I will help clean and prep food for the children. I have my own car and am able to transport myself, I’m extremely hard working and very flexible with schedules. Thank you for considering me to help with your childcare needs!

A little bit about me
I have been a preschool teacher since October of 2015, and a childcare worker for a great deal longer! I value compassionate, generous, and honest communication with both adults and little ones alike--my philosophy is rooted in positive, gentle care-giving with an emphasis on child lead play-based learning. Whenever possible I like to be outside with the children in my care, getting dirty and experiencing all the sensory opportunities nature has to offer!
I am STARS certified, have an up-to-date CPR/First-Aid card, a clear TB test, and I complete regular additional training annually through DEL/MERIT (which includes safe sleep, blood borne pathogens, etc). I also have an up-to-date Washington State Food Handler's Permit.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my profile, I hope to hear from you soon!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Snoqualmie, WA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Snoqualmie Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Snoqualmie? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Snoqualmie?
- Do you have a driver’s license in WA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
