Exploring childcare options for our newborn (I am due in August). Both my husband and I work from our home in the 12th South neighborhood of Nashville. I also have a 13.5 yr old step daughter who we have 50% of the time and lastly we have three dogs (a Mini-Sheepadoodle, medium Goldendoodle and English Setter).

Looking for a nanny M-F approx 8am-4pm (can be flexible on start and end time). Would love to have someone open to babysitting occassionly in the evenings or weekends in addition to house sitting for us when we are out of town. House sitting to include watching our dogs and/or looking after our baby when we are away.

Expectation highlights outside of tending to our newborn throughout the day.
-weather permitting going on walks to the park and around the neighborhood
- light laundry (baby items)
- light house cleaning meaning: washing bottles and other child items. Loading/unloading dishwasher when appropriate. Keeping baby items clean, organized and put away.
- Running small errands (dry cleaner, pharmacy, grocery, etc)
- When baby starts eating solid foods helping to make baby food (meal prep)
- While the dogs are not your main propriety they are family members, so letting them outside in our yard throughout the day and taking one on walks with you and the baby (if you feel comfortable).

Most importantly we want someone to feel as if they are part of our family and at home when they are with us.

Lastly, very open to entertaining a nanny-share situation with another family that is close by!

Hello! The at-home daycare our daughter Westly was going to since she was 4 months old recently closed due to the “teacher” moving so we’re in urgent need of help! We’d love for another at-home daycare or a nanny share situation that gets Westly out of the house and around kids throughout the day during the week because we (the parents) work from home and it can be a little distracting with her at home. We’ve also witnessed the difference between other kids who are not around other kids on a daily basis throughout the week compared to Westly, who has been since she was so young and we believe that she’s the way she is due to that! Westly is 22 months, turning 2 in December but, already ahead of a lot of kids her age. She’s extremely outgoing and loves meeting new people, she’s full of energy and loves reading, singing, dancing and learning new things. We were looking for someone Monday through Friday from 8/9am to 4pm who will play with her but also include some teaching and education. Whether that be outdoors showing her different flowers, bugs, etc. or, teaching her colors, letters and numbers. We’re a pretty laid back and go with the flow family who’s never enforced a super strict schedule/routine so we’re open to suggestions. If we have to have someone watch Westly at our house we would prefer lots of trips to parks, the zoo, the library, nanny meet ups, etc. so she’s not stuck at home and gets to be around other people. No house cleaning required except the normal cleaning up after yourself and Westly. We want to find someone we love and who plans to be a part of our and westlys life for years to come!
