A little bit about us…

My wife and I will soon have a newborn in May, and we would like to hire a nanny to start with us around or after the 4th of July holidays or July 15th.

My wife will be on maternity leave until August 1st of this year, but we are professionals who work a hybrid schedule and mainly do not want to send our child to daycare.

We are looking for someone experienced with newborns, sleep schedule maintenance, light cleaning, laundry for the baby, feeding/meals, and who may be interested in speaking or teaching their native language.

(Please note that being of Spanish, French, German, African, Asian, or any other background does not exclude your participation. We gladly welcome all who genuinely love children and want to foster a long-lasting relationship with our family.)

We look forward to hearing from individuals who can share their experiences, tell us stories of how they've interacted with their previous families and babies or children, and explain how they uniquely differentiate themselves from others as the best choice for our baby.

A little bit about us…

I primarily work in North Dallas from my office M-F. I am looking for help on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 6:00AM-6:00PM. Kids are great and easy. My six year old Ani takes directions extremely well and is currently in kindergarten. My 4 year old Dean, who is in Early special Education Pre-K, is a high functioning autistic who is easy to keep entertained but does require a little more attention and patience. My youngest is 14mo and will require around the clock care. I am now a single parent with the world on my shoulders and I’m looking for help. I have no pets other than aquariums.

Types of Nanny Jobs and Nanny Responsibilities in Texas

Before you start looking for a nanny job, it's essential to learn about the different types of nannies and how they compare to each other so that you make sure you’re looking for the right opportunities.

The different types of nanny jobs have different nanny responsibilities. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. However, in general, a nanny is responsible for making sure the children's needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to make sure your expectations are aligned with the family.

There are temporary nanny jobs, even seasonal nanny jobs like summer nanny jobs. Beyond seasonal and temporary nanny positions, there are differences between full-time and part-time nanny jobs. The primary difference being the number of hours you spend at your nanny job every week. For full-time nannies, there are options for live in nanny positions and live-out positions in Texas. Live-out positions are more common, but each family has their own set of needs that require different types of care, and live in nanny positions can be exactly what some families want. If you're looking to explore live in nanny positions, it's even more important to create a shared set of expectations around hours, responsibilities, and what is expected of you when you're not on the clock.
