A little bit about me
I’m originally from Boston, MA, but now call Phoenix my home. I started my career at Whole Foods as a baker and fell in love with creating tasty treats.
When I'm not busy working, I love spending time with children. I have experience with infants through school-aged children, and have babysat since I was 13. I began babysitting my nephews from the time they were born (they are now 15, 10, 7, and 5 – Wow! How time flies!), and then spent numerous summers sitting for other children in the area.
I also have experience in swim instructing infants and up.
I am very comfortable handing multiple children at once as well as many age ranges. I love playing games, coloring, making forts, baking, doing arts/crafts, and going to the park when I sit; after all, I'm still a kid myself. When I have time away from work, I enjoy going for runs, traveling, exploring the outdoors around Phoenix , spending time at home with family.

A little bit about me
I do not want to live in, but I can occasionally stay overnights with notice or in an emergency. I love children. I am willing to assist with homework and homeschooling.
I raised my niece after her parents passed away. I am patient with emotionally fragile and special needs children. I love animals and I am willing to look after pets.
I am willing to prepare simple meals and do light chores. I prefer not to do much driving with children. I prefer to walk with them, ride bikes, etc.
I love to read to children, and also to teach children to read. I like to do arts and crafts with children.
I believe young children need exercise and naps every day.
I would like to work for the summer, then see if the position is a good fit. If you only want summer help, that is fine!

A little bit about me
I began babysitting at age 15 and quickly realized how much I enjoyed it. After graduating high school, I gained valuable experience working in a daycare, where I learned more about child development and classroom structure. Some of my favorite activities to share with children include arts and crafts, imaginative play, and anything that encourages creativity.
I especially love connecting with kids on their level—playing, laughing, and exploring the world through their eyes. My nurturing spirit, combined with my artistic nature, helps me create a fun, reliable, and engaging environment for children of all ages.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Phoenix, AZ
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Phoenix can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Phoenix Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Arizona?
- Do you have a Arizona driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
