A little bit about me
I am first aid and CPR certified.
I enjoy getting to know children as individuals. I have learned to listen and validate feelings, decide what is needed, and provide the best care. I love reading, playing games, walking outside, conversing with babies, and laughing.
I am up to date on the Developmental Milestones for 0 to age 5 updated through the AAP.
I have trained as a birth doula, though not yet certified.
I have been caring for a now three year old since March of 2023. He is moving on to preschool and I would like to start another long term care relationship.
I prefer starting with an infant, and staying until 2-3 years of age, if possible.

A little bit about me
I consider myself a caregiver. If I'm honest my mom was diagnosed with Lupus when I was young, so I grew up with the best mother ever, but she was constantly sick. My mother died from complications of Lupus a few years ago. I cared for my mother my entire life, but as she got older the disease progressed which required survere help from me & my sister. The last 5 years I spent half of the year in Houston with my mom making sure she was okay with physical & mental therapy, ensuring the skilled nurses were performing as we expected, treateing her with care, & working to ensure she felt loved & safe. The remaining half of the year I'd be here in Austin still doing the same. If I'm completely honest I don't have children of my own, but I absolutely love kids! They're so innocent & seeing the world through their little eyes is exciting!

A little bit about me
More specifically, I worked in the treatment home for children considered "Highly challenging" due to a variety of physical, mental, developmental, and behavioral issues.
In order to provide an environment conducive for their healing and progression, I worked with a treatment team of professionals ranging from different therapists, psychologists, and case managers, to develop and implement strategies tailored to each child's unique challenges and limitations.
Through this experience, I have acquired an abundance of skills and resources which has helped me connect with children in a meaningful way that makes them want to strive to be their best selves.
My mission is to be the best role model possible. Sometimes all it takes is 1 interaction to change the trajectory of someone's life. I strive to ensure all of my interactions leave a positive impression.
