The most important part about being a nanny...
Children thrive when they have a trusted caregiver who can read their cues and respond to their needs. Each infant has a unique temperament, so getting to know them as individuals is essential. Environments and activities that nurture curiosity and experimentation are vital, as is the early development of language. Babies benefit from many opportunities to engage in meaningful, experience-based communication—and it's important that their efforts are acknowledged and encouraged. Infants and toddlers learn much about their sense of self—and how to function in the world—by imitating and internalizing the behaviors of those who care for them. That’s why consistently modeling positive behavior and interaction is essential. I believe teamwork, understanding, and communication between caregivers and parents is an integral part of the job, and produces the best outcomes in supporting the child's optimal growth and well-being.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It's definitely the moment when you know that all of the early speech, and communication building blocks have been successful.
It's amazing when toddlers begin speaking with you!

Babysitter Available in Austin, TX: Haley B.
Hi! My name is Haley, and I’m a pre-nursing student at the University of Oklahoma. I’m back home for the summer and looking for a nannying position with a family I can really connect with. I hope to become a NICU nurse one day, so I have a special love for caring for babies, but I truly enjoy working with children of all ages. I would describe myself as caring, dependable, and patient, and I love creating a safe, fun, and comfortable environment for kids. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, being involved at church, and staying active. I also love building relationships with the families I work with and being someone parents can trust. I’m excited to support a family in any way I can this summer.
Live-In Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Austin, TX: Silvia E.
Hello, my name is Silvia Estrada, I am 22 years old and I am from Mexico. I have a 2-month-old baby and I am looking for work-from-home jobs because I want to work close to my son because I would not like to leave him in daycare because of all the things that are happening. I really like babies, I like activities for stimulation for babies and things that have to do with art. I promise to take care of your baby 100% and I will take care of him as if he were my son (I will take care of him very well because I would not like my son to be treated badly).
