A little bit about me
I am 22 years old. I am a very artistic and creative person. I enjoy spending time with children of all ages. I could never grow bored or tired or impatient. I've always bonded with children very easily and find comfort spending time with such energetic and bright personalities.
My history with child care started when I was ten years old having to help care for two infants when my mom became a single mom. Eventually, I started caring for four siblings, all three years a part starting with the twins. My mom worked three jobs which caused her to not be home much.
I did everything from cooking, homework help, housework, errands, and any activity I could think of to keep them entertained. I even dealt with puberty. I created morning and night routines and afternoon activities catered to each child as they were all different.
This taught me how to be creative, to be organized, to be quick on my feet, and to be responsible from an early age.

A little bit about me
My name is Dia, and I bring over nine years of experience working with children as an early childhood educator, school counselor, and nanny.
I am passionate about supporting children’s development through play, curiosity, and meaningful connection, and I strive to create a warm, nurturing, and consistent environment for them!
Prior to my current work, I lived overseas in Turkey, where I worked in an early childhood setting. This experience enriched both my professional practice and personal perspective, deepening my appreciation for different cultures, communication styles, and approaches to learning.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with children whether that’s baking, dancing, climbing, or engaging in creative activities that spark joy and discovery. I also place great importance on building strong, respectful relationships with families.
I would love the opportunity to become a positive and supportive presence in your family’s life.

A little bit about me
A little bit about me now. I currently have been with the same family for the last couple of years. They have 5 wonderful children that I absolutely adore and love. The parents are amazing and kind and warm as are the kids. Unfortunately, the youngest will begin starting school full time march 2nd so my sweet time here will be coming to its end. I'm a Jacksonville native and I love what I do. I want to be with your kiddos and serve your needs in the way you see fit. I love the color yellow, giraffes and most importantly Jesus. If you believe I may be the right fit for you don't hesitate to reach out.
Best,
Pilar
