A little bit about us

Our family is looking to secure a Christian, Caring, Kind, and Intuitive and collaborative Live-in Nanny For 3 Children near Waldorf, MD

Our family is looking to complete our childcare team by securing an experienced live-in nanny for 3 children in Waldorf, MD (Ages 4, 2, & 1). You would be collaborating in childcare with family members of the children and occasionally 1-2 other babysitters.

This woman would have to be energetic, kind-hearted, compassionate, collaborative, considerate, hygienic/hygiene conscious, understanding and discerning, while being able to take initiative and practice discretion while working in the privacy of our family’s home. We are a respectful and loving family so we require our childcare team members to be the same. The right candidate is a woman who is respectful, has integrity, genuinely loves children and families and understands the significance of her role.

Position Requirements/Live-in Nanny Specifications:
* Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (Bible-believing Christian), number one and most important
* 45-55 years old, woman, healthy/fit, none-minimal health issues
* Secured home life that will allow her to be fully available for this position and focus when she’s with our family/the children
* Ideally can commit to at least 6 months at a time (obviously after a trial period) unless otherwise determined by the family
* Ideally Nigerian/foreign decent/cultured
* Has a reliable car and driver’s license and drives a registered and insured vehicle
* Lives less than 45 minutes/1 hour away from Waldorf, MD
* First aid, PALS certified
* Shift: 7:00am Wednesday to 9:00am Monday
* Pay: $[phone number hidden]/week (based on experience), room and board included
* Payments: electronic payments every other week, $[phone number hidden] every 2 weeks (ideally Zelle, but can also do CashApp)
* Can co-sleep with 1 year old toddler (who will be in the crib) and manage night nanny duties
* Ideally can cook (i.e. African dishes) but not required

A little bit about us

We are seeking a compassionate, patient caregiver to support our son, Weston, who is 7 years old and is autistic (ASD), has ADHD, and developmental differences.

Weston is a curious, thoughtful child who communicates in his own unique way and thrives with caregivers who are calm, observant, and willing to meet him where he is. He enjoys routines, movement, and exploring the world around him, and benefits from extra support during transitions and in busy environments.

This role is less about traditional babysitting and more about connection, support, and co-regulation. At times, Weston may become overwhelmed, which can look like dysregulation or attempts to leave an area (elopement), especially in stimulating settings. We’re looking for someone who can remain calm, provide a sense of safety, and help him navigate those moments with patience and care.

Responsibilities may include:

Engaging Weston in play and activities at home or in the community
Supporting outings (parks, walks, local activities)
Assisting with routines and transitions
Working collaboratively with parents to maintain a consistent, supportive approach

Experience with neurodivergent children (autism, ADHD, sensory needs) is strongly preferred. We value a neuroaffirming approach—someone who respects Weston’s communication style and focuses on building trust and connection rather than compliance.

This role is a great fit for someone studying education, psychology, OT, speech therapy, or a related field—or anyone who brings empathy, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Bonus for people who have experience with Level 2 or Level 3 autistic children, whether as an RBT, BCBA, speech/OT, Floor Time, or special ed in a school setting.

Regular hours week-in, week-out, probably between 10-13 hours per week after school until 8pm or 830pm.
