A little bit about us

Looking for part time help looking after our kids. Schedule is flexible - looking for 15-20 hours a week. Happy to work around class schedules or the like. Looking for someone that can speak English fluently. Speaking Spanish or French would be a nice bonus. Familiarity with Montessori methods and early childhood education concepts preferred. There are dogs and cats in the house - must be comfortable with that. No pickups or drop-offs needed.

A little bit about us

Hi! My husband and I are looking to find a nanny for our sweet baby girl, Emmeline, who is currently 2 months old. Ideally we are looking for someone who can work M-F from 8am-5:30pm. My husband works from home some days of the week (it’s sporadic which days he goes into work) and my schedule often changes so there may be some days that I’m home early from work. We want our nanny to be loving and attentive. Someone who does tummy time with her when she is awake and attend to her when wants to be held. She currently naps about 4-5 times a day for 30 min-1 hr, with 1 hour wake windows We do have 2 dogs, a Jack Russell mix and a standard poodle, and would like for our nanny to be comfortable being around them as well as let them out in the backyard 1-2 times a day to relieve themselves.

A little bit about us

They are typical 3.5 year olds. We are flexible with time but do need consistency. They listen well but have not been in formal daycare/preschool. We are trying to get them into a preschool currently and would want to adjust hours if possible when that happens (like afternoon instead of morning). I would be ok with you coming to our house or planning something else.

We have an older great dane and cat. they are pretty sedentary.

How to Find an Infant Care Job in Riverside, CA

If you’re looking for an infant nanny job, you’ve come to the right place! We can help you find an infant care job in your area. Start by telling families about yourself in your profile, and then chat with families to find the right fit. When you think you’ve found the right match, you can turn the discussion towards compensation and responsibilities.

What is an Infant Nanny in Riverside, CA

An infant nanny is a nanny that specializes in caring for newborns. They are skilled in diapering and providing care for any rashes, swaddling, bathing, feeding, and burping. Some infant nannies further specialize in care for premature newborns or multiples.

Preparing for a Nanny Interview for an Infant Care Position

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is an infant nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this age group?
  • Are you Infant CPR/First Aid certified in Riverside, CA? Are you willing to be trained?
  • How do you handle a crying baby?
  • How often do you usually offer parents updates during the day?
  • What do you feed an infant? At 0-3 months? 3-6 months? 6-9 months? 9-12 months?
  • How do you set up the infant’s crib for a nap?
  • What kind of activities will you plan to engage my baby?

You should be prepared with your references for past nanny jobs, and ideally, past infant jobs. Prior to the infant nanny interview, be sure to think about questions that you might have for the family. This is a great time to ask questions about the responsibilities and compensation for the infant nanny position. To make sure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities, we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
