A little bit about me

I am a Special Education teacher with a Master's degree in Special Education. A nanny position gives me the time and flexibility to give time to my family. Being a mom of two children with special needs, I also understand the apprehension parents feel and the importance they give to have a reliable person spending time and educating their children.
I am certified in CPR and trained as a lifeguard. I am a non smoker and have very good rapport with pets. I understand that being a nanny with a family is being part of the team.and as such on occasion I'll be asked to perform tasks that are not usually part of my work description but that are needed for the benefit of the family. I'm a good listener, courteous and know how to have fun with the children in a safe way. As a parent I understand the necessity of being responsible and careful since the families that hire me entrust me with their most precious treasure.

"Monasia made sure my 9 year old Ryan , who was 7 at the time had plenty of summer activities to do being that they were both out of school . She had just graduated High School. While I was busy working from 10 am - 9 pm , Monasia would come over to spend the day with Ryan , Monday - Friday & even last minute on Saturdays . During the summer , they would go swimming, watch movies , color she had even began teaching him how to draw which he still loves to do this very day . When school came back around for Ryan , he was starting his 3rd grade year. Monasia would still come over. While waiting for Ryan , she did house chores & that helped me out a lot. When Ryan did arrive, she got him off of the school bus then she gave him a snack & she assisted him with doing his homework. She would take him out to get some exercise, they loved bike riding in our neighborhood. At 7 pm, Monasia would prepare him dinner. So after he ate , he would shower & monasia would have him to bed by 9 ."
