A little bit about me
My goal in life is to positively impact children’s lives, especially by providing the kind of support and care I needed growing up but didn’t always receive. My own childhood was challenging, and those experiences have shaped me into someone who’s deeply compassionate, patient, and understanding — especially when it comes to the emotional needs of kids.
As a nanny, I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and fun space where children feel seen, heard, and loved. I take pride in being reliable, kind, and attentive to each child’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s helping with daily routines, encouraging creativity, or simply being a consistent, caring presence, I’m committed to making a meaningful difference in their lives.

A little bit about me
I work at Shasta Head Start as a primary caregiver for the 2-3 age range and have worked with infants-4s while there. I have 3 years of experience at SHS and about 3 years of prior babysitting experience.
I am unfortunately looking to leave my job at Shasta Head Start because they cannot accommodate a part time schedule for me to continue my education at a timely pace.
I am creative and love arts and crafts, and I don't mind light housekeeping or light meal prep. I moved from New York so I don't have a driver's license but it is in the works, so transportation will not be an available service for a few more months. I have reliable transportation to get to and from and that is all.
I look forward to working with your family!

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Redding, CA
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Redding Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Redding? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Redding?
- Do you have a driver’s license in CA? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
