A little bit about me
I have worked with all ages. The youngest being a newborn night nanny job with preterm twins straight out of the NICU. I've also worked with older babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age children. I was a homeschool nanny from 2020 to 2022. I've also been taking workshops and classes in childcare related topics.
I prefer to keep the kids busy with activities and keep the screen time down while working. I love to take kids to local parks and do arts and crafts projects.
I own two backless boosters and have upgraded car insurance to drive children in our SUV or minivan. I grew up near Buffalo, NY. So driving in snow is not a problem for me.
Also, I started college as a Spanish and French education major, so I can teach basics in either language. I hold a bachelors in business.

A little bit about me
I'm 19 and used to work with kids all the time. I also used to be certified in first aid and CPR, just haven't gotten anything re-newed (willing to do so if you'd need).
I currently work at the Spokane Valley Mall, but need a second job!
As an example of my experience with kids, I used to work at Fernan Elementary school where I would prepare snacks, keep kids safe and in check, as well as help with any school work and reading they needed done!
If you were to hire me I would be sure to prepare meals, clean the house, take the kids out for activities, and make sure to keep them safe and entertained!
As a heads up, I do have colored hair, a couple piercings, and a few tattoos. I apologize if this is a deal breaker for you, but I am still a hard worker and very compassionate.
I would also be sure to accommodate for any allergies or illnesses (mental or physical) that you kid(s) may have, no issue!
I look forward to making your acquaintance :))

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Coeur d'Alene, ID
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Coeur d'Alene Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Coeur d'Alene? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Coeur d'Alene?
- Do you have a driver’s license in ID? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny
Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
