Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes raising my two daughters, who are now successful adults, working as a preschool and elementary teacher, special education teacher, behavior specialist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and educational administrator. Throughout my career, I have supported children ranging from infancy through adolescence in homes, schools, childcare settings, and community programs.
I have extensive experience with child development, emotional regulation, behavior support, communication skills, daily routines, and creating engaging learning experiences. I have also worked closely with children with diverse abilities and support needs. My professional background, combined with over 25 years of parenting experience, allows me to provide safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care while building strong, positive relationships with both children and their families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating meaningful, engaging experiences that help children learn through play and exploration. Some of my favorite activities include outdoor adventures, nature walks, gardening, playground visits, scavenger hunts, and exploring local parks and trails. I enjoy encouraging imaginative play through dress-up, storytelling, puppet shows, building forts, and child-led adventures.
I also love reading books together, visiting the library, creating arts and crafts projects, cooking and baking, and exploring hands-on science activities and experiments. Whenever possible, I enjoy connecting children with their community through local events, farmers markets, museums, story times, and seasonal activities.
My goal is to balance fun, creativity, learning, movement, and connection while following each child's interests and developmental needs.

I believe the most important parts of being a nanny are creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel loved, respected, and understood. A great nanny builds strong relationships with both children and parents through trust, communication, consistency, and reliability.
I focus on supporting children's emotional well-being, encouraging independence, fostering curiosity, and creating meaningful experiences through play, learning, and exploration. I believe in balancing fun with appropriate structure and routines while meeting each child where they are developmentally.
Equally important is supporting parents by being dependable, proactive, and attentive to the unique needs of their family. My goal is always to help children thrive while providing parents with confidence and peace of mind.

Since 2010, I have worked extensively with children with a wide range of disabilities, developmental differences, medical needs, learning challenges, and behavioral concerns. As a special education teacher, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and educational administrator, I have supported children from preschool through high school in both school and community settings.
My experience includes working with children with autism, ADHD, intellectual and developmental disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, speech and language delays, learning disabilities, anxiety, trauma histories, and complex support needs. I have also worked with children who display significant behavioral challenges, including aggression, self-injury, elopement, and severe emotional dysregulation.
My approach is compassionate, relationship-based, and focused on understanding each child's unique strengths, needs, and communication style while helping them build confidence, independence, and success.
