|---|---|
| 2 kids | ~$18.90 |
| 3+ kids | ~$19.90+ |

Full-time, part-time, and live-in babysitter rates
| Arrangement | Typical hours | Average rate | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full-time | 35–50 hrs/week | $20.69/hr | |
| Part-time | 10–25 hrs/week | $17.36/hr | |
| Live-in | Set by family | $20.64/hr |
Part-time runs slightly lower per hour than full-time here, which often means strong full-time demand supports higher rates for committed schedules.
Live-in rates here run higher than live-out — uncommon, but typically reflects specialty demand for around-the-clock or live-in newborn care. The trade-off is space — you'll need a private bedroom and ideally a separate bathroom for the babysitter.

Tips to find a great babysitter without overpaying
- Be flexible on experience. Some of the best babysitters on the platform have 3–5 years on the job and charge meaningfully less than experienced babysitters with 10+ years. References matter more than years.
- Consider a share. If your kids are similar ages and you live near another family, a share is the single biggest cost reduction available without compromising on care.
- Be specific about hours upfront. Most babysitters will take a slightly lower rate for a guaranteed steady schedule than for a higher-rate, unpredictable one.
- Bundle benefits thoughtfully. Two weeks PTO, a health stipend, transit passes, education assistance, or an annual raise commitment can help close the gap with families offering a higher hourly rate.
- Match rate to responsibilities. A higher rate often makes sense once you add cooking, errands, or driving. Don't compare apples to oranges across listings.

A little bit about me
Currently looking for some extra hours in the evening outside of my summer camp job which runs 8am-5pm.
I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old but working with adults & children with special needs really has become my true passion.
I am currently a paraprofessional in an elementary school & have been for the past 3 years. I am also about to begin my 5th summer at an adaptive playground program for people ages 5-25 years old with a range of special needs.
Prior to being a paraprofessional, I spent a few years as a caregiver for a boy with ASD as well as working as an executive assistant in his mom's behavioral therapy office. I also spent a couple years working for an Independent Living company where 4-5 adults with special needs lived in a house together, but still needed assistance with things like cooking & transportation as well as reminders to take meds.

A little bit about me
Prior to having children of my own, I was a day care teacher for 7 years and also had my own in-home day care for 3. I love kids and miss having young ones around. I would love to take care of your children for you to have a date night, run errands, or if you just simply need a break. I remember how exhausting little ones can be!
