Full-Time Nanny Job: The Hughes Family with 3 Children
My wife, Lily, works at a local university and I am self-employed. We have three children and just moved back to Minnesota after spending four years in Uganda where Lily was the Peace Corps Country Director. A typical day for the kids includes:
Markos (11) gets himself breakfast, some screen time, then soccer in the yard and playing with his little siblings. He reads a lot, loves chess, can entertain himself, and does not require supervision. He Is also very polite and respectful and follows direction from adults.
Dominic (7) is starting to get his own breakfast. He loves cartoons in the morning when he does not have school, then some crafting for an hour or so and then outside play until lunch. He enjoys play dates with friends and playing with his little sister. Both love to draw and color and play in the yard but he is not interested in sports. Our most recent nanny spent one hour each day with Domi and Maya doing a bit of home-based learning before dinner (practice spelling reading, writing, math, and art about 10 minutes each every day).
Maya is the boss. She is super outspoken and adores Domi and the two spend much of the day telling each other what to do while enjoying being close siblings and friends. She loves having tea parties and coloring and playing with Domi and the occasional playdate.
Maya has not lived in the US before and Dominic barely remembers it (he was 3 when we moved to Uganda) so their routine is a work in progress, probably including swimming, library, parks, and getting to know their new neighborhood (near Summit Ave and Lexington).
Hope you enjoyed learning about our family and to speak soon if you are interested!! Jacob & Lily

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Streveler Family with 1 Child
I have a one year old son who is a wonderful big ball of energy. I need part time help consistently on Mondays and Thursdays and occasionally on Tuesdays or Fridays. Hours would be 715 to approximately 430. I do have a dog who is a bit nervous but we will not need anything done with her. She will poke her head out and check on you and go back to bed more often than not.

PART-TIME NANNY NEEDED – Thursdays (Saint Paul)
We’re looking for a warm, patient, reliable nanny to care for and connect with our almost 8-month-old daughter 1 day per week on Thursdays (when care begins). Right now, it’s just one day per week, but there may be opportunities for additional hours in the future.
This is a great opportunity for a college or grad student with a light class schedule on Thursdays, a nurse or other shift-worker that doesn’t work Thursdays, or a parent with school aged children looking to engage with and care for a baby.
Details:
• Location: Saint Paul
• Schedule: Thursdays, approximately 8am – 2pm
• Start date: October 1
• One infant
• $20+/hour depending on experience
• References required
About our family:
We’re a Christian, friendly family. Our three-year old daughter is in preschool at our church, so will not be your responsibility.
One of us will be working in the basement office, so around and reachable if something comes up, but will stay out of your way. You need to be comfortable taking the lead caring for our infant daughter during scheduled hours.
Our infant daughter is active, curious, and very engaged with the world around her. We currently avoid screentime at her age and value lots of interaction supporting her development in a warm, responsive way.
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining baby’s feeding and nap schedule
• Preparing and washing bottles
• Engaging in age-appropriate playtime, music, reading, and outdoor activities
• Putting baby down for naps and waking her up from naps
• During baby’s nap, light baby-related tidying (bottles, toys) and child’s laundry, if needed
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has infant experience
• Enjoys engaging and interacting with babies (not just supervising)
• Is attentive, patient, nurturing, and reliable
• Has excellent communication skills
• Has reliable transportation
• Is comfortable with parents working from home
• Non-smoking
• CPR/first aid certification preferred
